Focusing: an approach to finding inner clarity

Focusing is a therapeutic approach that invites us to gently and curiously pay attention to the bodily sensations that accompany our inner experiences. Often, the body knows things that the mind has not yet been able to put into words, and listening to it can offer valuable insight.

Have you ever felt a knot in your stomach, a weight on your chest, or a tightness in your throat without knowing exactly why? Focusing provides tools to help us stay present with those bodily sensations that are hard to name, allowing them to gradually unfold and reveal something meaningful.

This way of connecting with oneself supports self-awareness and emotional wellbeing. It is especially helpful when we feel stuck, unsure of what is going on inside, or when we want to work through difficult or traumatic experiences with care and respect for our own pace.

Mentalisation-Based Therapy: understand what you feel and what’s happening in your relationships

Mentalisation is an hability that allows us to reflect on our own inner world as well as that of others. It helps us understand our emotions, thoughts, and intentions — and those of the people around us.

Have you ever felt confused about how you react to someone, or wondered why another person behaves a certain way towards you? Mentalisation helps us put those experiences into words, offering clarity and allowing us to relate to others with greater confidence and understanding.

This approach is particularly helpful when we struggle to understand what we’re feeling emotionally, or when our relationships become a source of distress.

Working through a mentalisation-based approach encourages a more compassionate relationship with oneself and supports healthier, more fulfilling connections with others.

I walk alongside you in your journey towards well-being

Each person is full of possibilities. When we explore the life experiences that lie behind each individual, we begin to understand why each person has learnt to feel, think, act, and relate in a certain way.

Understanding where your patterns come from can be incredibly liberating. It can help you make sense of your experiences and recognise what you need at a deeper level to live a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

Looking inward allows you to identify and let go of the parts of yourself that may be holding you back. Sometimes, in order to let go safely and effectively of what holds us back, we need to develop new inner resources that support our inner calmness and balance.

The humanistic integrative therapy model is designed to support you with every step of this journey—respecting your own pace, providing guidance through challenging emotions, and offering tools to reconnect with your inner strengths and cultivate a life of confidence and well-being.
